Park Guell is one of the most impressive public parks in the entire world. I was blown away with every turn and step I took. Pictures just don’t do it justice. This place is Huge! It’s located in Barcelona and was designed by the famous architect Antonio Gaudi. That name might sound familiar because it’s the same architect that created that famous church in Barcelona, the Sagrada Família. And I’m now up to speed on where the term “Gaudi” comes from.
It’s a playground for the mind: visual jokes, like columns that simulate palm-trees, rubble-surfaced arches that grow out of the ground, quilts of ceramic tiles and warped passage ways.
Park Guell is one of the most important sights in Barcelona and one of Gaudi’s masterpieces. A sight not to be missed if planning a trip to Barcelona.
