When People ask me what I do, I say I’m an entrepreneur. And for the past decade, my biggest enterprise has been myself. As a little girl we were all asked the question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” Maybe your answer was a doctor, a vet, an astronaut or maybe you just didn’t know. I sure didn’t. Coming from a small town with no examples of job fulfillment it wasn’t easy for me to identify with any career role models. There was no guidance, and I had no clue.
What I did have, however, was determination, tenacity and a stubbornness for more.
I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I knew the woman I wanted to be. I knew as a young girl I wanted to earn enough money to support myself and support my luxurious cravings to enjoy the finer things in life while always staying humble and true to myself.
But even knowing that, I still have to admit that my career path has been a series of unusual events and changes.
I have spent the last 10 years working within the beauty industry, as a model, actress, stylist, swimwear designer, photographers assistant, make-up artist and hair stylist.
I don’t get paid to write good things about products – all of the work you see is my own, unbiased opinion. I ‘m lucky enough to work with some of the world’s best hair and make-up artists as well as skincare experts, beauty editors and of course, fellow models and celebrities.
I take my responsibilities as the author of this site very seriously and research products as much as possible, however what suits my skin/complexion/eye-colour/body-shape/lifestyle may not be right for yours.
